Cloth & Sand objects

I often use non-traditional sculpting materials. Here I combined cloth, sand and cement to create a material that behaves like a compound: it uses the features of each separate material to create a new one. It’s flexible yet solid, soft yet very heavy. The flexibility allows me to create different sculptures from the same basic objects. The weight enables these soft sculptures to stay stable.
