Nonimaginary City
2019,wall installation, mixed media, 250x450x50 cm.
A wall installation that attempts to represent the spirit of the contemporary urban environment as I see it. It looks a little bit like a fragmented map composed of drawings and areas of lines of an architectural nature. All drawings are made with pencils on plywood painted white. Some depict elements from public spaces like trees and security cameras and others depict hybrid entities and imaginary scenes. There are some objects integrated into the installation and some of the drawings are mounted perpendicular to the wall, thus also functioning as objects.
